Knowledge sharing, a new way of creating value and increasing efficiency
At the dawn of the 21st century, businesses are faced with a new challenge of major proportions, a consequence of the digital revolution: how to move from ‘labour force’ to ‘brain power’, in order to be on an equal footing in a society based on knowledge and competitiveness, just like it was at the time of the industrial revolution two hundred years ago in relation to the new industrial society based on productivity.
This major shift is resulting in the development of shared software, shared network and clusters, designed to make the most of collective intelligence.
In order to innovate, be competitive and take advantage of globalization, the challenge is to master complex systems, steer or control local organizations from a distance, sometimes in a multicultural context.
